Mentally challenged adults, their parents, and teachers have found a unique opportunity for camping, Bible study, activities, and developing new friendships through the Texas Baptists Special Friends Retreat. Designed to meet the unique needs of these friends, the retreat offers experiences and learning activities geared to their particular level of understanding.
For parents - the retreat provides a much-needed time of relaxing. Parents have the opportunity to bond with others who understand their unique journey, learn from each other, and receive encouragement.
For teachers - the retreat equips leaders with the tools needed to lead Bible studies for special needs adults.
For campers - the retreat sparks new friendships. Additionally, campers experience God's love for them through fellowship, activities, Bible studies lessons and more.
Your gifts to the Mary Hill Davis Offering for Texas Missions® not only supports campers as they learn more about God, but you provide teachers, leaders and parents the opportunity to enter their world so they grow closer to God together.

1. Pray for volunteers to help during the retreats. Volunteers are needed to help lead Bible studies, assist in crafts, and be an encourager to individual campers.
2. Pray for the Special Friends attending the retreats.
