BOUNCE: Student Disaster Recovery

Since launching in the summer of 2014, BOUNCE Student Disaster Recovery has mobilized over 5,000 students and adults for long-term disaster recovery and community rehabilitation missions.

During that time, BOUNCE participants have completed over 700 construction projects in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. From roofing to drywall, siding to porches, wheelchair ramps to painting, their BOUNCE experience has given students a deep love and appreciation for mission service.

Ministry Updates:

  • To engage students in church planting, BOUNCE partnered with Texas Baptists Church Starting to expand their missions footprint.
  • In 2020, BOUNCE Church Planting added Houston, TX and Seattle, WA, as church planting destinations for students to participate in.
  • The Student Disaster Recovery option expanded ministry efforts in 2020 to Ponce, Puerto Rico.
