Wave Camp
In 2024, Victory Missionary Baptist Church (VMBC) of Las Vegas, Nevada, flew 40 members of their youth group to Texas to gather at Wave, a camp experience to help African-American students grow stronger spiritually, socially, and mentally.
Former Director of African American Ministries, Oza Jones, stated the group seized every opportunity during their visit to Texas to share the gospel, creating time in their schedule between sessions to visit local entertainment districts and hand out gospel tracts.
Shekinah Rose Wilson, a high school senior at VMBC, expressed that WAVE stood out from other conferences she’s attended because of the inviting and genuine atmosphere.
“The energy from the first night was unmatched. There were no kids afraid to be vulnerable and open to accepting God into their lives, which was so refreshing.”
For the leadership at Victory Baptist, it was an amazing experience to witness their youth receive and pour into all that God had prepared for them at WAVE.

En 2024, la Iglesia Bautista Misionera Victory (VMBC) de Las Vegas, Nevada, llevó a 40 jóvenes de su grupo a Texas para participar en Wave, un campamento diseñado para fortalecer espiritual, social y mentalmente a estudiantes afroamericanos.
Según Oza Jones, exdirector de Ministerios Afroamericanos, el grupo aprovechó cada oportunidad durante su visita a Texas para compartir el evangelio. Dedicaron tiempo entre sesiones para visitar zonas de entretenimiento locales y repartir folletos evangelísticos.
Shekinah Rose Wilson, estudiante de último año de secundaria en la VMBC, expresó que WAVE se distinguió de otras conferencias por su atmósfera acogedora y genuina. «La energía de la primera noche fue incomparable. No había ningún joven que temiera mostrarse vulnerable y abierto a aceptar a Dios en su vida, lo cual fue muy refrescante», comentó.
Para los líderes de Victory Baptist, fue una experiencia asombrosa ver a sus jóvenes receptivos y entregados a todo lo que Dios había preparado para ellos en WAVE.
