Sports have an extraordinary way of breaking down barriers. The same electric energy and passion that bring millions together for the World Cup can be captured for an infinitely greater purpose: sharing the hope of Jesus Christ.

Through your gifts to the Mary Hill Davis Offering®, WMU of Texas partners with Texas Baptists en Español to fund a dynamic sports ministry that combines a passion for athletics with a deep love for Christ and His church. For those who play, the court and the field offer a powerful, natural way to connect with others and share God's Word.

This year, the ministry is expanding. Moving beyond its foundational soccer clinics, tournaments, and outreach events, the team is introducing volleyball and basketball. By taking these games directly to local parks, community centers, and men’s retreats, they are connecting with individuals who might never step through a traditional church door.

The vision for this year is bold: by the end of 2026, more than 4,000 people will hear the Gospel—many for the very first time—with an estimated 200 professions of faith.

Your generosity directly provides the essential tools to make this harvest possible, funding specialized New Testaments featuring professional athletes' testimonies, bibles for new converts, and the sports gear needed to run these outreaches.
