At WMU of Texas, our mission is to empower God’s people to advance the Gospel through missional discipleship. One of the ways we do this is through the Mary Hill Davis Offering® for Texas Missions.

Your gifts to the offering support over 70 ministries for missions and discipleship across the state of Texas, and because of you, the Gospel is being spread throughout our state.

The acronym S.A.L.T. is an easy way to remember the four focus areas of the Mary Hill Davis Offering®.

Serve Ministries
These ministries open the door for more effective sharing of the Gospel.

Advance Missions Leadership Ministries
These ministries equip both clergy and laity as they share the Gospel and serve others.

Love the Least of These Ministries
These ministries seek to serve those who are too often overlooked, such as special needs adults, victims of human trafficking, single parents, men needing employment/life skills, and people living in poverty.

Tell Ministries
What sets apart the followers of Jesus? It is the sharing of God’s story to give us new life through His Son as we put our faith in Him, and giving people the opportunity to receive Him. These ministries enable Texas Baptists to be a witness.

Philosophy Statement

Understanding that missions is what believers do to reach beyond the needs of their congregations to witness and minister for the purpose of fulfilling the Great Commission, WMU of Texas designed the Mary Hill Davis Offering® to advance Texas Baptists missions in leading people to know Christ and developing a missional lifestyle.

Therefore, it is the goal of WMU of Texas to strengthen and support Texas missions opportunities through the Baptist General Convention of Texas. The offering makes possible missions ventures and sustains them until appropriately assimilated into other financial channels.
